Join us on a ride that’s chock full of scenic secondary roads and biways – with a side trip into the world famous Algonquin Park. We’ve carefully selected our route to combine the most scenery best and the least traffic. Huntsville, Algonquin area and Haliburton Highlands make for a wonderful ride any time – and getting there and back is a rider’s delight.
July is a glorious time to visit – the bugs and traffic are gone, the weather is usually sunny and warm. We’ll spend both nights in the same accommodation and use it as a base of operations to enjoy the area.
Hailstorm Creek Wildlife Viewing Trip
Opeongo Lake's Hailstorm Creek Nature Reserve area offers excellent wildlife viewing, particularly for moose. Explore Hailstorm Creek without having to paddle on the big lake - a water taxi transports people and canoes safely from our store to the mouth of the creek in 20 minutes. Cost includes canoe rental, all safety equipment, water taxi transportation and bag lunch.
Cost will depend on your group size but you can expect approx . $70 to $80 pp plus taxes. Depending on the expertise of our group, we may select a Guided option which will be an additional cost.
Reservations will be required to book the water taxi. Cost for this excursion not included below.
